Here are some easy tips:

  1. Just ask!  A lot of people are afraid to ask their friends and family for support. As it turns out, most people are more than willing to help. Remember, when you ask someone to donate to your fundraising campaign, you are giving them an opportunity to do something good for homeless pets, so just ask!

  2. Ask Early The earlier you begin fundraising, the more successful you’ll be!

  3. Donate To Your Own Efforts Start by giving a gift to your own goal – make your own contribution, then ask friends and family to match your donation.

  4. Customize Your Fundraising Page Share your passion with your supporters! Upload a selfie or a picture of your pet, write a little bit about your reason for walking, and create a fundraising goal.

  5. Send Emails From Your Fundraising Page You can upload your contacts and send pre-written emails, or create your own (you will receive a link after you register). Share your progress with your supporters!

  6. Regularly send messages and share your fundraising link on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) Keep everyone updated on your mission by sharing updates on all your social media accounts. On Facebook, tag the people who donate to your cause and thank them for their donations.

  7. Does Your Company Offer Matching Gifts? Use corporate matches to double your donation! Ask your company to match the amount of pledges you receive from co-workers or ask a friend to have their company match their pledge.

  8. Form a Team and Have Fun Consider forming a Dog Walk & Woofstock Team! This is great for social groups and like-minded friends! Want to form a team and be the Team Captain? Register Now! Already registered as an Individual Walker, but want to start a team now?  No problem!  Just send an email to [email protected] with your name and what you want your team name to be and we'll take care of the rest.

  9. Social Media Post your fundraising link wherever you can. Tell your friends and family why you are walking, and what it means to you!
