Team Captain Guide

Your job is important!

Team Captains play a vital role in making the Dog Walk successful. Here are some tips and tools to help you in your role:

Team Captain Duties

  • Register online here to create and name your team.

  • Recruit other team members. A good minimum goal is getting 7 or more walkers to register, fundraise, and participate with you. (There's no required minimum size, but what kind of team has only one person on it?)

  • Raise money yourself, and make it clear to your team members that you expect them to raise money too.

  • Rally your team throughout the campaign to keep recruiting and fundraising, and keep them together and organized - especially on event day.

Remember to:

  • Have fun

  • Don't take yourself too seriously

  • Lead intentionally

  • Be their biggest cheerleader

  • Follow up after the event and thank your team for their effort.
