NEW! We're Going Virtual

When: Saturday, April 4 (NOTE- this is no longer an in-person event.)

Where: Your choice! But wherever you chose to walk, whether it's your favorite greenway or simply strolling around your living room, share it with us on social media.

Join us online as we light the pathway home for over 4,000 homeless pets.

By transforming the event into an online virtual experience, the homeless pets will get the life-saving resources they need, and the participant fundraisers will show their commitment to animals via an online presence. Throughout the day, Dog Walk participants are encouraged to post their own photos or videos, while wearing the official Dog Walk t-shirt and matching pet bandana, using the hashtag #SPCAWakeDogWalk, so they can be shared via SPCA Wake's social media platforms. Please note, the current recommendations for limiting social gatherings will likely still be in effect. Therefore, we will be featuring something special online at 7:45pm on April 4th, but it will be in accordance with the latest guidelines set forth by Governor Cooper to ensure our community's safety.

Registration for this event is still free, but we hope every Dog Walk participant will continue to work towards their fundraising goal of saving 1 pet by raising a minimum of $100. Everyone who raises a $100 will receive a Dog Walk t-shirt, while everyone who registers for the event will receive 1 matching pet bandana. Check out the Event Info/FAQ section for further information about this event.
